What have you won? Have you, or do you know anyone that has, won something big like a Car or a House?
I won a book once at a school fair when I was rather little, still got it now. Don't think I personally know anyone thats won something big, but a family near my mums house did win a large amount on the lottery they didn't move but they did put big spike things on all there outside walls. I used to get in trouble for cutting though their front garden every now and again, but their the ones that left two big gates open on either side, you'd think someone who paid a s**t load putting spikes on everything would remeber to close a couple of gates
My sister has won tons of stuff over the years but I guess you have to enter these things in mags. I once won around £18 on the Navy lotto in Malta. Doesn't seem much but in 64 that was a load of dosh for a sailor who earnt around £7 a week.
Think the most I've won is £50 on the lottery. I also won a packet of felt-tip pens when I was in school. True story.
I've won some medals for cross-country running when I was at school and asides from that, a tenner here and there on the lottery, but that's it. Oh.. and a bottle of vodka in a raffle one time.
This whole thread started after listening to the Chris Moyles Show this morning and they mentioned those things in shopping centres and airports you know where there's a Car parked that you can win. I don't know anyone (1°) or know anyone who knows someone (2°) that has ever won one of those cars. OK maybe that's a bit limited to be jumping to conclusions but it does make me wonder - how would you know if one of those draws or raffles was a scam?
I've won on the lottery a few times, yesterday and fri on euromillions only a couple of numbers tho. Most I've won was 74 quid I think. Won a few vouchers for meals out, teddy bears, some work awards for stuff, and a VIP pass in a magazine to an event which I couldn't even get to an never realised til the day it was due (d'oh).
